Earlier this week, I set out to design my first Affiliate Web Button. You know, those little buttons that are 88x31px, and I have to say that in the process of designing my first one, I've learned quite a bit. I'm not 100% happy with what I created, but it's a start. It simply has the name of the site, and the imagery exclaims something about what the site is about, Anime. But I feel the eyes also tell something deeper. The eyes are expressive, and inform about the character, and that's a core component to role playing, because without the characters, you have no game, and no story to tell.

Anyway, the point of this post is to discuss what you found works best for this form of advertisement, what's absolutely critical to include in a web button like this, and what's sometimes done incorrectly?

I had @DramaK design ours but I always say so long as it shows the site name then that's the most important thing.

If it's the one I see down below on the affiliates for Spark Promotion, I really like how it turned out. I think it fits your niche and the name stands out.

Thank you!

I haven't tried this method of promotion, so I don't know whether this works or not, I have seen a lot of forums display affiliate button, usually on the bottom of pages. I guess it will work only when you are running them on the same niche as yours.

I just don’t really get into affiliates.
