Merging forum into a big forum is only a good idea when you purchase a huge forum. You could possible merge it into a big forum. However, I would always recommend starting a small forum and then growing it into a really big community. This will eventually create a large forum when more and more members will join the forum and keep your community active. You should not think about merging your forum in case if your forum is showing the signs of growth.

Back in the day I would have around 3-6 at a time. It wasn’t until one of them blew up that I had to start focusing on one at a time and now I stick to just one but my max is probably 6 that I was active in if you count inactive then about 20 at one given point. I still have like 5 open right now that I do not touch but still pay for, for the nostalgia of it.
