Do you prefer shared hosting, VPS, or dedicated cloud servers?

Shared hosting is good for beginners because it is cheap but when the traffic spike unexpectedly, the site will crash. This is when you need the VPS. It is more reliable in that regard. So, you have your own space, but you need some technical knowledge to manage it. And dedicated cloud servers is so powerful, it has more power than a VPS, but the cost is unbelievable.

VPS.

Faster than shared hosting, but not as expensive as a dedicated server.

You can have multiple websites on a VPS. If you start putting a few on a dedicated server, it can easily become problematic.

I used shared, but I’m not sure if more traffic would demand a VPS or higher - or not.

I guess I won’t know until it happens!

If shared hosting is all you need right now, then don’t volunteer to pay more money if you don’t have to.

I was looking at VPS plans on Namecheap earlier. Have any of you tried them? They’re pretty cheap!

My sites are all hosted on shared hosting. If I eventually start making websites for people again I might look into something else.

After using shared hosting for many years, I am now on VPN, I have been using it for sometime. I think VPS is the best bet because it is more secured than shared hosting, and cost less than dedicated.

I have always used shared hosting with all forums that I have owned, aside from the first ever Chat Addicts that I had, I ended up moving to a VPS hosting with an offer from a friend at the time.

Right now, my forum Chat Addicts and my blog, BTS ARMY Zone, are hosted on shared hosting, and I haven’t had any issues as of yet.

I had a VPS for one year. It wasn't needed. The only good of it was driving up my credit score!
