This is one of the most interesting debates out there. Many people believe that the internet has made people much more isolated due to the fact that now many people prefer using the internet instead of socializing in a physical manner. On the other hand, many people think that the internet has made it possible for people to connect with each other in a much better manner due to social media. What do you think about this?

Has the internet made people more connected or more isolated?
Honestly, I think it's done both.
The internet can definitely make people more isolated if it starts replacing real life completely, and I think social media in particular can sometimes give the illusion that we're connected when we're actually just scrolling past each other's lives. But at the same time, I've met people online that I would never have crossed paths with otherwise. People from completely different parts of the UK and even the other side of the world. Some online friendships can become just as genuine as friendships with people you see face-to-face. ♡
That's actually one of the things I still love about proper chatrooms and forums. You're not just liking someone's photo and carrying on scrolling… you're actually talking to people, getting to know them, having a laugh and building friendships. So for me, I don't think the internet itself makes us connected or isolated. It depends on how we use it. Used properly, I think it's pretty amazing that someone you'd otherwise never have known existed can end up becoming part of your life. ♡
I feel it's a mixture of both. While it has made people more connected, it has also succeeded in disconnecting us in some ways. People would rather connect online than see each other physically, even when they do not have any challenge stopping them from connecting offline.

I believe that internet has played a big roke in this regards. Internet has induced people to stay connected online rather than physically meeting each other. In the olden days, things were quite different. During that time, people used to emphasize a lot on real, physical social Interactions rather than sending messages to each other. Having said that, sending messages to other people wasn't that easy either. During the 19th century, people used to reky on telegraphs. However, even during that time, social interactions were not limited to telegraphs. Internet has changed a lot of things.
It has made people connected more than isolated. I have relationships with people all over the world that I have not even seen physically. This world born have been possible without the internet.
