Identity theft is a major problem nowadays. Many people usually make the mistake of sharing their identity on websites where the information may get into the wrong hands. Under such kind of circumstances, online privacy is a major concern. Many organisations are working to make a better system related to this. However, as an individual, we should be responsible for the information we share online. So, how do we protect our privacy online?

How to protect your privacy on the internet?
There isn’t a 100% way to protect yourself, but there are a few things you can do to enhance your privacy on the Internet. First, think twice before opening suspicious links and sharing your personal data. Second, get a secure VPN - it will help you a lot. Unfortunately, if you use social media, they already know everything about you.

Protection of privacy is becoming harder and harder in the current age of AI and technology. Social media websites already know a lot of things about you. Many people are concerned about privacy and this is why they may choose not to share personal information. Regardless if that, Facebook already gains access to your information when you upload photos and other stuff. The same goes true for other social media platforms as well. Social media platforms are regulated by the government, so you could say that the government has access to your data, in other words.
I think one of the biggest things is just being careful how much personal information you put out there. It’s scary how much someone can piece together from a few innocent posts 😬 I use different passwords, 2FA wherever I can and I’m always suspicious of random links/messages. If something looks even slightly dodgy, I’m not touching it with a barge pole! I think we’ve all become so used to sharing our lives online that sometimes we forget just how public the internet actually is 👀
It might help to use strong, unique passwords, enable two-factor authentication if available, and avoid suspicious links. It is also important to limit what you share online.
Make sure you do not put any sensitive and personal information there for everyone to see. Also make sure that you don’t use passwords that are easy to guess or bypass.
