Do you or do you know someone with diabetes?

I've got type 2. Non-insulin.

My wife passed away last year from type 1 diabetes at the age of 40 - and left a 5 year old son.

It's just life, but I feel I enabled her behavior, but I guess she was an adult.

My biological father was a type 2 diabetic, as was his wife. They are both now type 1. My ex-husband is also a type 1 diabetic. All of them are insulin dependent.

I’ve got the Caresens Air but they’re like $50 NZD every 15 days. There is supposedly meant to be funding one day for it here. Type 1 can get funding for them already.

My mother is currently diabetic. She have been on drugs for at least 4 years now. We are also trying to combine herbs to help manage it.

Diabetes is exploding because the food sold at grocery stores is based on corn oil.

This is very true. It's why I don't eat anything cooked outside. I make my own food and make sure I eat the right thing.

I tend to agree with you. What my mother eat mostly now is plant based food and meat. This helps your sugar spike after meal to be very small. I pray she can be able to reverse everything soon by God's grace.

They say a lot of diabetics die in their 40s. My wife died at 40. Her dad died at 40, I think. In fact, I believe she has some kind of mystical feeling she was going the same way. And my own cousin went blind and then died around 44 I think.
