Do you trust your friends with money?

Personally, I think I've been burned so many times that trusting anyone with money is never going to happen again with me. I rather dash or gift a friend or anyone money but will never fully trust anyone with my money.

Do you trust your friends with your money? Do you lend them money?

Yes, but it depends on the amount of money involved; I wouldn't entrust all my money to absolutely anyone, but I would entrust some—sometimes even a considerable amount. Generally, that kind of trust is earned over time.

I trust my money in my bank account than in anyone's hands. I can gift my friends money but I will never lend a penny to anyone - friend or not.

I trusted my friendship or 8 years with almost 2 million for a business project, he scammed me and disappeared with my money. He blocked me on every social media platforms and phone number to reach him.

Yeah, I'm done trusting anyone in my life as a friend with my money.

I don’t trust others with my money, generally speaking - and I don’t trust myself with other people’s money. Well, one time my wife was in jail - and I mismanaged her money. I felt really bad about it and she left for a long time. I can’t really blame her - but managing money is a weakness of mine.

This is exactly what I do right now. My money is best kept in my bank account because I will not hear any stories whenever I want to access and withdraw any amount I need.

Banks are not entirely 100% safe hence why some do the old mattress/floorboard trick. I don’t even trust my wife with my money let alone friends 😛

Trusting money outside of gold is bad. Today’s money is full of inflation!

My friends? Why should I? I have responsible family members that have access to my money should anything happen. Yes I have close friends but I’m not trusting them with my finances.

I’m a firm believer in helping people when you can, but never at the expense of your own financial security. I’d happily help a close friend if they were genuinely struggling, but I’d only give what I could afford not to see again. I think the awkwardness starts when someone promises to pay you back and then suddenly develops selective memory! Money comes and goes, but a good friendship is worth protecting.

Trusting your friends with money is a very risky thing. I have seen many friendships end because of money. So, lending money to friends is common but it causes a lot of problems too.

Yes, because whenever I’ve lent them money, they’ve always paid it back. So, yes—this is a level of trust that develops over time; both my friends and I know that we can rely on one another.

I have seen many people turn to monsters simply because some kind of money is involved in the friendship dealings. I am not the person that does anything that is monetary with a friend. It is better with a complete outsider. I don't trust anyone when money is involved.
