Paid VPN softwares offers more features and more secure IP addresses unlike free VPN softwares. It's said that free VPN softwares leak your IP address and also steal your data.

Do you go for free or paid VPN softwares?

I just use a free vpn when it’s needed for IPTV

I use a paid which is $45 a year.

Never use a free VPN if you care about privacy, your personal data, and device security. If you use a free VPN, then you are the product. Although, I’ve heard that Proton VPN offers a free option, but it’s one of the most popular VPNs.

I get the paid version of NordVPN for free. But I don't use it much.

Did you get it bundled with the monthly plans on Revolut? I've seen that they offer it with some of them, but I think it was offered only with the most expensive ones.

I've been comparing and reading reviews about which one is better - Proton or Nord. I'm leaning towards Proton as it's open source and it has proven cases of zero tracking or logs. Plus, Nord doesn't have the specific location that I would like to use.

Yep. I’m on Metal. I can even get a free Tinder subscription LOL

The few times I used a free one, it worked well—though not as excellently as a paid service. It is always best to use a paid one, because there is a high chance that the site you visit will flag you as spam; free VPNs rely on proxies that are shared by many users.

Well, this is the first time I have heard about IP address getting leaked if you use a free VPN. What are your thoughts about using online websites that allow you to see if your IP is getting leaked or not? I have used such kind of online websites while using a free VPN and it seems like many free VPNs do not keak your IP. However, I do not know how accurate this information is.
