Your forum might have a newsletter, Discord, Slack. social media accounts, and other channels. Do you think they should be identical, or should each platform have its own personality? How do you maintain recognizable branding without copying your brand visuals or voice everywhere?

How Do You Keep Community Voice Consistent Across Platforms?
Just be yourself for the most part.
It’s when you try to be someone you’re not that you have issues maintaining a consistent voice or tone across platforms.
Be yourself. Have a mission. Have goals for that mission. Maintain that process everywhere you are.
I’ve been doing it for 10 years with my Hiking with Shawn brand on my blog, YouTube, and multiple social media websites.

I think that you should haveyour own unique way of approaching people when it comes to marketing your forum on different platforms. This is specifically true when you are using different social media platforms. Not all social media platforms are equal. Each and every social media platform has its own unique policies. For example, you just cannot send messages to people randomly on Discord. The same goes for other platforms as well.
You need to treat like a business and have a constant brand image that people can identify

Consistency is extremely important for branding but each platform has its own vibe. I think the major thing is to adapt your voice to fit the platform. For instance, WhatsApp is more informal while Twitter is more direct. Just identify what works for your forum.
I think being consistent every single day and never giving up is the most important factor that leads to success. You also need to adjust your tone based on the platform. If it's Discord and you are typing in the general channel there, you don't need to be that strict or formal. Just go with the flow there. But if you are making an important announcement, you need to make it properly choosing the right words and platform.

This is one of the most important aspects of running any kind of community. I have noticed that many people run forums, but they never focus on staying active across all platforms. For example, they might be active on a platform like X, but they never consistently upload videos on YouTube . It is always a good idea to have a YouTube channel for your forum.
