Do you think that internet would become free one day?

Many people really wish to use free internet for life. They believe that life would be much better if internet becomes free to use. However, I do not think that the internet would become free for various reasons. Internet costs money. This includes maintainence and other stuff. Regardless of that, many people still believe that free internet might be possible in the future. What do you think?

I wish this day would come, but I honestly doubt it. This is because these Internet companies or our service providers need workers to handle things to ensure everything is working fine, and having workers means you have to pay them. Then again, maintaining the towers and equipment needed to ensure a stable connection requires money. Free connection means they won't be able to afford it.

The internet is free for everyone.

Connecting to it isn’t.

Not when you've got money hungry telcos who make a great profit during a cost of living and petrol crisis.

That’s one of the most profitable industries and they do whatever they want. They always come up with an excuse to raise their pricing, even if the quality of the service remains the same. So, no, I don’t think Internet connection will become free one day.

Fun fact, you can get free internet but it’s dial up lol. Juno offers free dial up for people, but good luck browsing the modern web on dial up! Also you only get up to 10 hours a month lol.

I am quite sure that there I always someone who is paying for the internet connection. So, it isn't technically free. Even if you somehow mange to obtain the password of a WiFi connection, you will still depend on other people. If someone else refused to pay for the internet, you will end up losing “free" internet. That's a major problem.

OH! Juno is still around??? We had that over 20 years ago!! Crazy.

My grandma used their service in the past, her email is a Juno email. I went down a rabbit hole when AOL announced last year that they were going to end their dial up services, and found that Juno is still around.

You could always go to someone else’s house that has internet to sign up for their service lol.
