Have You Ever Been Trick-or-Treating?

When I was younger, I used to love heading out with my mum, friends and brothers to trick-or-treat, but after a while, as we all got older, we just kind of stopped and never went trick-or-treating again.

My kids used to love going trick-or-treating when they were younger, I remember one year we spent about 4 hours out with them trick-or-treating with their friends and their parents came with us, and it was a fun night. They came back with a month’s worth of sweets and quite a bit of money.

My kids are much older now, and they don’t tend to bother, or if they do, they tend not to want mum with them 🤣

Of course!! 😂🎃 Used to absolutely love going trick-or-treating when I was little. We'd be out with our little plastic buckets/bags, knocking on as many doors as possible and coming home thinking we'd hit the jackpot with a ridiculous amount of sweets. 🍬😂 And there was ALWAYS that one house that gave you something disappointing while the house next door was handing out full-size chocolate bars. 😂 (I remember getting some fruit once!!) Hahaha lol Halloween felt so much more exciting when you were a kid! 🥹🎃🖤 Although let's be honest… half the excitement was getting home, tipping everything out and seeing what you'd got. 😂🍫🍭

Yep I went quite a few times as a kid, I stopped going trick or treating when I was 13 years old but then went at the age of 14 because this girl I had a crush on invited me to hang out with her but she ended up ditching me… So I went trick or treating on my own. :\

That’s such a bittersweet comment. It’s really nice that you used to go trick-or-treating for so long, but it’s a shame that a girl you liked stood you up—though hey, her loss. That’s all in the past, right? Did you stop trick-or-treating after that? And do you dress up for Halloween, or do you skip that too?

I loved going trick-or-treating!! When my daughter was little, taking her was just as much fun and I remember the year she wanted to only go out with friends and no adults. We had walkie talkies and no cell phones, so I had her take a walkie talkie so we could keep in touch.
