Do you still purchase physical movies and video games?

While most people these days tend to stream their favorite shows, there are still plenty of people who prefer to collect physical media. I’m one of those people when it comes to video games, not too much with movies though. I believe that we all should still collect physical media, you just never know when your internet will go out and then you won’t have access to any streaming platforms unless you choose to use data on your phone! Plus there are plenty of movies and shows that are not streaming on any platform, so you would need to own a physical copy of the movie or show. When it comes to video games, you also can’t access your cloud saves offline and can’t play your games.

I haven’t purchased physical copies of movies and games for a long time, and I don’t think I will buy physical movie or game. However, I still have a collection of DVDs and game discs that I bought in the past

Video streaming platforms or video games, allow for safe storage online, this should be utilized.

Physical storage has caused to much environmental damage.

“It's time we physically save precious natural resources & transform countless lives for a sustainable future.”

Personally, I prefer storing everything online. As its more environmental friendly.

Besides, most things “worth something” are available online.

In the meantime, to be fair & entirely physical (practical).

Try collecting yourself a Tesla, a hybrid or any form of electric car that would help you store or sustain your life needs, if or whenever the internet disappears!?😎😁

I no longer buy physical copies of movies these days, i usually download my movies from movie box. It's also the same for games, i get them online rather than buy a physical copy.

I do collect—mostly for consoles that no longer have new games released for them—and I also buy the occasional PC game that gets a physical collector’s edition containing the full game. There aren’t many of these around these days, but they do exist. The best thing about a physical collector’s edition isn’t just all the collectible items it comes with; it’s the fact that you get the complete game in a physical format.

If I game, it’s via PC or a smartphone, so I have no use for physical copies.

As for films and shows, I started buying DVDs of some of my favorites a long while ago, but I sold them all when I needed the money and realized they’re all mostly on the streaming services we use.

I see you, yes honestly, the freebies that come along with it. The merchandise, the fan fare, the hype, thrill of meeting others with the same physical needs as you. Nice point you have. Cheers!
