What has been of great help to me is that I save first before I spend. I have a percentage of my income meant for savings, so immediately I get paid I save before spending the rest. It has helped me build up my savings consistently.

What helps you to save better?

I always consider if any expense that I want to do is a true necessity and gives me true value. Any purchases that seems sudden, I always impose a compulsory waiting period, no matter how pressing it might seem. It helps me to evaluate the necessity of that seemingly very pressing need.
